Change your password

The first time you sign in, the eCRF asks you to replace the password that your administrator gave you. You can also change your password at any time.

Who can do this: every user, whatever their role.

Replace the password your administrator gave you

The first time you sign in, the eCRF opens Change Password Required. You cannot open any other page until you change your password.

1. In Current Password, type the password that your administrator gave you.

2. In New Password, type a new password of at least 6 characters.

3. In Confirm New Password, type the new password again.

4. Select Change Password.

To leave before you change your password, select Sign out. The eCRF asks you again the next time you sign in.

Change your password at any time

1. At the top right, select your name.

2. Select Change Password.

   

3. In Current Password, type your password.

4. In New Password, type a new password of at least 6 characters.

5. In Confirm New Password, type the new password again.

6. Select Change Password.

To keep your password, select Cancel.

After you change your password

The eCRF signs you out on every computer and opens the sign-in page, which shows Password Changed.

Sign in with your new password. The eCRF opens the list of your studies.

If the eCRF refuses your new password

When the eCRF refuses a change, it clears the form. Type the three passwords again.

• It says Passwords don't match: the two new passwords are different.

• It says New password must be at least 6 characters: choose a longer password.

  

• It says The current password is incorrect. The password in Current Password is wrong. After 5 wrong passwords in a row, the eCRF locks your account for 10 minutes. See If your account is locked.

  

If you forgot your password, ask your administrator for a new one.
